From what I remember he didn't have too big of a pile there. I think he will have trouble getting someone to take it for free. No harm in trying though. If he insists on spreading it he should compost it first. That will help to kill any weed seeds that remain in the manure and you really don't want to dump more raw manure onto your field. Maybe if he approached a local farmer on your road maybe they would come get it since it is straw/manure but I wouldn't count on it. Thanks for the compliments on our service too. I really do enjoy my job, I love seeing all the different breeds of horses and of course the dogs too! That bassett at your barn was really sweet.
