I think I (Briar Patch) hauled your manure out recently. Guizette (not sure of the spelling)will pick up straw bedding BUT....they like you to have at least 15 horses, they will not take OLD manure that has started to compost. I'm not sure which other haulers will take straw for nothing or pay you for it. We take straw but we still have to charge for the removal because we don't have the facilities to do composting and in many cases with fewer and fewer farms it is hard to find a farmer that won't charge us for dumping the manure on his farm for him to use. They feel it takes them time and energy to compost it and we should compensate them for it. Plus most farmers have gone to liquid fertilizer again lessening our chance of finding local farmers to take any kind of bedding/manure.
