Hmmm... maybe I got lucky the day I went. Of course, how do you pick out the kill buyers, ya know? The best thing to do is go, if you can save one horse it makes a difference, if you don't find one and they sell, well - we all know it happens. It is horrible and I hate it and I educate every person I know about it and what happens. People are appalled, non-horse people have no clue what happens. We just have to do what we can and for those of us (myself included) who have our own horses, it makes you hug them more often and take better care of them and know that you will never take them to any kind of auction.
