Pennsylvani Trailer Regulations

You can got to http://www.pacode.com/secure/data/067/chapter175/subchapGtoc.html to view the PA Code on trailer inspection requirements. This comes in handy before you have your trailer inspected. You can save time and money by making minor repairs before your inspection. However, unless you are a mechanic, don't mess with the brakes. Let a professional take care of that. Towing Vehicle inspections do not include checking your connection system however, most trailer inspectors would gladly help you out with that. Remember, your horse's life depends on you making sure that your trailer is safe. I know that everyone has heard of terrible mishaps with horse trailers (they seem to be an idiot magnet) and the horses never win. Also, before trailering, make sure that everything is in working order before you leave. Balls breaking is the worst nightmare next to the trailer becoming unhitched as it was secured in the first place. Just so as not to jinx myself, I've never had a you know what problem with my you know what by keeping up all of my safety checks.

Thanks codysmom for the info on another inspection station for trailers!
