Hello..

thanks for your input. I live in Horsham. I actually contacted Asplundh tree services and they told me if I see a truck out doing the trees to give them my address and they will drop off the fresh wood chips to my house. I'll have to keep my eyes open for them. I've also been told just to lay down some plywood at least until things settle or freeze up. I live on a really small farm and don't have much choice other than to put them where they are. I've been keeping them as clean as possible, even rinsing their feet with clean water on good days. I've heard of the geotextiles but was told by a landscaper via email that it sounds like a big job with big machinery - even though I don't think so. I'm going to try the wood chips method (basically hog fuel) and try that out. I appreciate the feedback though, hey if you are in the area or know someone in the area to do with the conservation - let me know!

Andrea
