I don't see a problem buying a horse at New Holland. I have had horses from there and not had any problems. As far as tracking him down, good luck. He should have had a coggins test that came with him. You could check out who the vet was that did it and who was listed as his owner. I tracked down where my pony came from in that way. There is always the possibility that the horse is microchipped. You would have to find someone with a scanner. You might have luck with a local vet having a universal scanner. The chip would be located in his neck on the left side up towards his bridal path. You won't know it's there if you don't have a scanner though. Good luck with your new horse.
