looking for a horse
Posted by: codysmom Date posted: 09/25/2007 11:58:04 AM
I am looking for a new horse for my son. He is a handicapped rider and he shows western. He is not a great rider because of some physical limitations so I need to find something real quiet. He is not afraid of size so a draft cross or a warmblood would be great. I would prefer a gelding as my son is a little headstrong and the mare we have now tends to get a little moody with him.

I was wondering if anyone out there has a show horse they are looking to retire. I could offer a wonderful home with a boy who is looking for a new best friend. This is all my son really has, he is not good at sports and the other kids tease him about this. On a horse he is equal, and he can do things the track star can't. (I have to keep reminding him his friends may be able to run fast but can they control a 1000 pound animal with a mind of its own!!!!)

I do not have alot of money to spend on a new horse so free would be great, I could also do payments if the price is affordable. This must be a sound animal, mild arthritis is ok. Please help me out, I was taken by a lady last year, I bought him a horse that I was told was 22--more like 32. Was told she had a bad blacksmith ( she did have REAL short feet), turns out it is severe Navicular. So this is why I need your help. If you ever had a handicapped child or knew of one you would know anything they can accomplish on there own is the best feeling in the world. Thanks for reading this, if you can help pleas email me at csimpson010502@comcast.net.
