o.k. I will tell you what I know. Someone else might add more if I have forgotten anything. First the vehicle that tows the trailer to the inspection station needs to be properly insured for towing a trailer. You will need your trailer registration and you would save yourself some time and money by going over the trailer yourself before sending it out. Check to see that all lights work: marker lights, turn signals, back up lights (if equipped), brake lights. They don't care about the lights inside of the trailer. Make sure your tires have good tread I think they won't pass if it is less than 4/32". Don't forget your spare tire.Make sure your hitch on the towing vehicle is in good condition and the ball/hitch on the trailer is in good condition. Make sure there are no cracks in the welds from the trailer to the hitch and that there are no areas that are rusted through. Your brakes should be in good working condition and you should make sure that your brake-away device is in working order and your safety chains are not worn or damaged. Basically they will look at anything that could make your trailer unsafe to pull down the road. They will not inspect your dressing room or horse compartment. As to where to take it? Look for a camper dealer if you don't have any horse trailer sales centers near you. Not sure where you are but there used to be a guy who worked on horse trailers and did inspections outside of Dublin. Take 313 north to 113 north and I think he was a couple of miles up on the left. Maybe someone out there knows his name or of someone down that way. Aren't you from the Doylestown area? If you have a large truck (semi-truck) dealer in your area they might be able to help you too.Good Luck
