Happy Ending Story
Posted by: snavelyorama Date posted: 08/22/2007 02:35:27 PM
Hi folks,
Well, I know most everyone loves a happy ending story so here goes. About three years ago (maybe four), I was in a position where my lease was coming to an end, I was moving, the land where I kept my beloved Percheron was being taken over by the township (rightful owners) and the farm where he lived was being cut back. So, not knowing I was about to move to a horse farm, I sold him. I wanted to do the best I could for him and not be selfish about it. I had had him for over five years.
Well, as it turned out, I stayed in contact with his new owner, we became friends, she sent me newspaper clips, stories, photos etc of his adventures and last year she informed me she was retiring and asked if I'd like him back.
Now living on a horse farm and in a much better position, I said of course! So, my old friend is back at home with me. He's a little gray, older but in better shape than most four year olds and I know he remembers me. We've been having a good ol' time and riding around all over just like the old days.
It was the happiest day of my (horse) life when he came home.

I love a happy ending!!!

Andrea (his name is Thor, the most amazing Percheron you could ever want)
